… Just returned from an excellent adventure to Portland, Maine. A friend invited me to skip (some) work on Friday afternoon, and drive up with him up north for a vernisage of an artist in a local wine tasters' cafe, Meritage.

Portland is such an incredible city… While my friend drove around the Meritage attempting to find a parking spot, I had plenty of time to curiously look around and have revealed to me some incredible deposits of urban energy and spirit emitting from the venerable walls, little quaint stores, cafes or beautifully decorated trees…
Despite the city being somewhat burred underneath the snow, and an overall coldness of the evening air in anticipation of an upcoming snow blizzard, the warm smiles of fellow-sidewalk-walkers, and millions of inviting little places to disappear into and thaw for a minute, together with some awesome stories and enthusiasm shown by my friend and a guide, Michael made it a night to remember.

The reception at the Meritage of Kwabena Chan AnsaPilsqeSis was an additional treat as I was slowly intoxicating myself with various samples of wines and the incredible art of (now) my friend, the artist himself. As it would not have been enough, the evening ended with a scrumptious meal at a local sea-food restaurant, accompanied by Mr. AnsaPilsqeSis himself, who did an incredible thing, revealed to me some of the creative process involved in the genesis of two of his most breathtaking drawings…

The following morning continued bringing me fun and joy… Just before the afternoon blizzard Michael and I drove to the nearby Cape Elizabeth to witness hundreds if not thousands of Common Iders (as a local granny explained to us) floating in the sea, circling, frolicking, diving, hunting, chatting and socializing despite the obvious cold… We looked at this peculiar spectacle from above, the top of the shore-cliff…

The thoughts of the shore all covered in snow and a crisp breeze of the ocean mist in the air were something to hold on to while driving through white hell of a blinding snow blizzard on our way home … Luckily as we were approaching Connecticut, the temperature was rising and snow eventually changed to rain, granting us a safe though somewhat depressing passage back home…

NEVER ORDER A CHICKEN SANDWICH #6 AT A BURGER KING AT THE REST STOP CLOSE TO PORTLAND… that place should be shut down, locked up and the people guilty of food poisoning of my friend should pay DEARLY… I'm serious…

… for anyone living in New Haven area, there is an awesome performance at Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven (close to IKEA)… There is 2 guys + their drag personas, there are fake boobs, absurd, purple plush sofas with golden ornaments, crazy Egyptians with fake accents, and… VAMPIRES, YES !!!! HAHAHAHA
anyhow… the technically difficult performance went without any major flaws, I had a very good time, and was entertained for good 99% of the show time…
The mystery of Irma Vep is the title… 😉

I'm not going to talk much about the Incredibles, as there is not much to say on this issue… this is a MUST SEE. The details of the masterfully rendered 3-D world were just astounding… I mean to animate and then render book pages or characters' hair alone it probably took MONTHS and CLUSTERS of CPU power… well for non-geeks, the plot was exceptionally well designed… also, having a good friend next to me while watching the movie also helped to elevate the overall experience to the new heights ;-P

FINALLY
the piano has arrived…
I replaced my old, antiquated Roland A-90EX with a brand spankin' new RONALD FANTOM X8 with SRX expansion board for orchestral goodness…

Of course I almost flipped out when, after two weeks of anxious awaiting, I web-tracked FEDEX to find out my new instrument was delivered to a different town and to someone named B.Urns… I mean how stupid are you to sign for a package that obviously is not addressed to you? (the stickers with MY address and MY name were intact on the box… so I have no idea how Beacon Falls, and Naugatuck can be even remotely similar) well the piano is here, fortunately for B.Urns he didn't touch the box, so it arrived at my place eventually, in still-pristine condition for me to unwrap….

oh, and I'm sick
I hate this time of year… the leaves are gone, the trees are all naked…
the temperature goes up and down like crazy… nights are freezing, afternoons are strangely warm and pleasant…

I have a theory about the germs at this time of the year… those sudden and so contrasting changes in temperature piss them off… those tiny little buggers… they try to survive, and all of a sudden a nightly sub-zero temperature comes and they freeze their tiny asses of… during the day however they unfreeze, and get overwhelmingly hot, they don't know what's going on, hot, cold, freezing, thawing… they get PISSED and they ATTACK… M E cuz I'm sooooo vulnerable… well not really, but they do attack me…

well… time for my medicine…
and back to bed =(

In light of recent events in which the current president of this country was DELIBERATELY chosen to STAY for another cadence… i tremble in fear…

Should a vote from some fat bitch from Texas claiming that “Kerry is a mad man for thinking that it is the UN who should be let to decide whether the US should go to the war”, well should that bitch's vote count in the first place?

Unfortunatelly, that bitch and 51% of other (possibly only temporarily) intoxicated and thus unable to think straight individuals/bitches prevailed… and i wonder… what will the next four years of this establishment unleash upon our poor, already ravaged by conflict Earth?

Who knows, this is probably my last post in here… As I see the secret service agents already pouring into this building from every little hole…GOD I WISH I HAD BEEN UPDATING MY LJ MOOORE FREQUENTLY…

The internet and any other medium allowing a free flow of information will probably be banned , ekhm, replaced/monopolized with the only true source of information MSNBC, a bush-gates joint venture…

I will probably be drafted into the military soon, and , with millions of other, i will be forced to perform an impossible task of trying to realize the megalomaniac aspirations of the TRUE mad man thinking that God speaks through him… WHICH GOD I ASK? THE ONE THAT WHISPERS INTO HIS EAR “SCREW LOVE AND MERCY, FRY THAT FUCKER!!! ?” or…
“THEY ARE ALL SAVAGES THAT NEED YOUR GUIDENCE, BOMB'EM” or “REMIND HIM THAT HE FORGOT POLAND”…

Of course, first i will be made into a deviously dangerous criminal for saying all the above, and obviously for my… potentially DEVIANT mating habits… I guess they will tatoo a scarlet “G” on my forehead… maybe even put monsters like me in camps…

intelligence will be … actively discouraged, as control is easier on the feeble minded ignorants…

well.. these are my initial projections into the nearest future… i do not dare to think what the world is gonna be like at the end of bush's second term… will he rewrite the Constitution to (among other things) allow him to stay in the White House… INDEFFINITELY?
